Blessed

It’s ATC time over at HLS ATC Challenge. This month’s theme is trees. I just love the SU Wonderland Stamp set so I used my favorite tree stamp to create this ATC card. I think we are Blessed to have such Beautiful trees to look at and smell each day.  The sentiment stamps are Catherine Pooler stamps called Counting Blessings. Why don’t you participate  for your chance to win a Happy Little Stampers Gift Certificate!

Fresh Fig Quilted

This month for the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies card, I decided to use a new color called Fresh Fig. It’s a real beautiful Rich purple shade. I wanted to create my own background so I decided to use the Faux Quilted pattern technique. (You score your sheet of paper from corner to corner and move it over 3/4″ and score again.) After scoring I used a dauber to daub each of the score lines on both sides. I then added my dazzling details silver glitter glue.  For the flowers, I used the Stampin’ Up! Eastern Elegance thinlit dies and added a circle of silver glitter paper to each center. I popped them up on the card with stampin dimensionals. The Sentiment is by Stampin’ Up! in a set called Flourishing Phrases.

Eastern Palace Birthday

A dear friend of mine Andrea is celebrating her Birthday today. I decided I wanted to use a new set of stamps and inks that were just released to demonstrators this month. The set  is called Eastern Palace. The new ink colors were also release to us and gave me a chance to make Andrea a pretty unique card. I used Fresh fig, Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist ink colors to create this card.

Happy Birthday Andrea! I hope this year brings you good health and tons of Happiness!

Heartfelt Thanks

Happy April to everyone! Hope your enjoying the Beautiful Spring Weather.  I decided this month to make something a little clean and simple. I started off with a stencil that I had purchased from Stamplorations called Rows of Hearts. I took a piece of SU Whisper White card stock and laid my stencil down and started sponging with SU crumb cake ink  and then I decided to add another layer with the SU Baked Brown Sugar ink. After I achieved my desired effect. I applied by stenciled layer to a piece of Baked Brown Sugar card stock and then to my Whisper White Card base.

For my sentiment,  I cut out one 2″ circle in Whisper White and then added my Sentiment which is from Happy Little Stampers stamp set called Simply Said. I stamped my sentiment in my versa mark and then added SU Copper embossing powder to it. After heat setting it, I then went on a search for a Heart die that I thought would match what I was looking for. I found my Simon Says Stamp Simply sketched heart die. I used Baked Brown Sugar card stock for my heart. I popped my stitched circle with the sentiment and the heart die with stampin dimensionals to pop them up.

Let me know how much you like to use stencils and what is your favorite one in the comment sections below.

Uniquely Stamped

I just became a member over at StampNation and the first challenge that I have decided to participate in is called Uniquely Stamped. You are suppose to use a stamp in a different way than what it’s intended for. So for this challenge after several attempts to figure out what I wanted to do I came up with the card below.

I started out by picking my color scheme. I knew I wanted to use Tip Top Taupe and Red. I then used a Catherine Pooler stencil called Mod Squared for my background. After trying different stamp sets and different layouts I decided to use a stamp from my SU Seaside Shore stamp set. I used the sea weed to make my flames behind my sentiment. (SU Bunch of Blossoms stamp set) I colored my flames in with my Zig Carmine Red. I also added a few sequins and added a couple of strokes of my clear Wink of Stella to give some of the flames a little sparkle.

Hope you all have a Wonderful week! Let me know what you think about my take on the uniquely stamped challenge in the comment section below.

Grateful

I don’t know about you but sometimes I don’t tell my friends how grateful I am to have them in my life. I think sometimes we just assume that they realize that we are grateful for them but why not take the time and let them know every once in a while. For this card, I decided to use the Freshly Made Sketch 281 to come up with my design.

I started out by finding a background piece of DSP paper and then added to it. I’ve used the Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Series paper for both of my backgrounds. (behind my sentiment and the actual background) I then decided to use 3 of the colors in the paper for my banners. I’ve used Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and black. I added a little bling by adding 3 rhinestones to the banner.

Seaside Shore

Welcome back to the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge for the month of March. Be sure to play along with us as you have a chance to win a $15 Gift certificate. Can’t wait to see what all of you come up with.

For this month, I chose to use the Stampin Up! Seaside Shore Stamp set and the Shooting Stars Framelits Dies. I have to admit this is my first time making a card like this but I found it very easy to make. I know there appears to be quite a bit of stamping and coloring but overall the card doesn’t take to long to make. In fact, I made 9 of them for swap groups that I’m in.

To make this card I did the following:

  1. Started with my A2 size card base
  2. Cut out a piece of Black card stock 4″ X 5.25″
  3. Cut my Pool party card stock 3.75 X 5″
  4. Stamped my Bubbles (to make my background in Soft Sky)
  5. Stamped my sea weed with Momento Black
  6. Colored in my sea wood with Pool Party & mint macaroon (on the tips)
  7. Use my Circle slider frame lit to cut out the center and then stamped my sea weed and colored them
  8. I then used a piece of whisper white card stock to stamp my sentiment, fish, anchor, sea shell and star fish
  9. I then fussy cut each one out
  10. I used stampin dimensionals behind my bubble background layer in the corners and the center of my circle
  11. I used a circle punch (the size approx of a penny) to make the slider that would take the fish around the circle frame lit. I put a dimensional in between the two circles and one below the fish.
  12. I then applied the layers ( anchor, seashell, sentiment and starfish ) to my card. I did use stampin dimensionals for everything except the anchor.
  13. Lastly, I used my wink of stella to add a little bling to make images.
  14. For the inside of the card, I used my piece that was cut out to go around my sentiment and stamped sea weed at the bottom of my card. I added another fish to swim inside as well.

Please leave me a comment as I love to hear from all of you. Have a Wonderful week!

Let’s Fly Away

I’ve always wanted to get in a Hot Air Balloon and just fly away but the fear of heights has always stopped me from doing it. This stamp set ( called Lift Me Up)  just let’s me dream away about the joy of seeing everything from above. Do you have a fear of heights or fear of getting in a hot air balloon?

For this card, I started off with a standard card base 4.25 X 11 inches scored at 5.5″. I then cut a piece of white card stock 4 X 5.25 and cut out my two cloud with my dies. I then cut out an additional cloud and embossed them using my Stampin Up! Elegants Dots embossing folder. I then took some more white card stock and stamped my three hot air balloons using Flirty Flamingo, Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim. Once stamped I cut them out using the two different sizes Hot air balloon dies. I then stamped my cloud images ( in Marina Mist) on my white card stock and my sentiment in Flirty Flamingo. Once I was done stamping I then started layering my clouds and hot air balloons on my base using stampin dimensionals to pop them up of the card front. After finishing up with the top of my card, I adhered the card front to my blue base. I adhered a white piece of card stock to the inside of my card with a sentiment and stamped a hot air balloon inside.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my creation. I would love to hear from you so please do leave me a comment.

Hey Chick!

Happy New Year! A New Year and a Couple of Chicks to start it off! For my Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies card. I decided to use a new stamp set called Hey, Chick! I just love these little chicks, they are so fun and lively. For my card, I decided to start off by cutting out two stitched ovals. I then stamped my images and colored them with my comics. ( I tried to give them a little attitude with their colors, as all chicks are different) I then cut out the ovals on my Bermuda Bay card stock and decided to do an inlay design. I don’t do many of these but I just thought it would be cute. I used stampin dimensionals behind the bermuda bay and ovals to make them really stand out. I then added the layers to my white card base. I decided to make a little banner for my sentiment and added a few pearls to give it a little more character. I hope you enjoy the chicks and wish you all a Very Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year!
